Alianza Lima asked Conmebol to change the schedule of the match against Paranaense for the Copa Libertadores

According to the sports media ‘Ovación’, Alianza Lima sent a request to Conmebol regarding the time of their debut against Paranaense. The meeting is agreed to be played at 5:00 pm, an unusual time in the La Victoria complex.

“Alianza Lima is part of Group G of the Libertadores 2023 and the match has been scheduled at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium on Tuesday, April 4, at 5:00 p.m. It is necessary to state that the club is respectful of the regulations and collaborates with strict compliance with the 2023 manual, seeking the best organization of the match. It is important to indicate that Tuesday, April 4 in Peru is a working day and the 5:00 p.m.

“The average attendance of the public in the Peruvian tournament exceeds 32,000 spectators per game, however, the schedule set for the reasons stated will harm their presence and affect our economic income, impacting not only the club but also the sponsors, even more so with the enormous expectation of the fans with the two-time Peruvian soccer champion club”, he continued.

“In this sense, we respectfully request Conmebol, which has the power to adopt the modifications it deems pertinent in its sole judgment in relation to the aforementioned schedule, that the match can be played on the same day, Tuesday, April 4, 2023. from 7:00 p.m. or onwards,” he concluded.
