If there were no inconveniences, the 39-year-old ‘Pirate’ would not occupy a foreign spot in the 2024 season.

According to the information offered by journalist Marcello Merizalde, two other players who took the nationalization exam are also Argentine. Martin Perez Guedes (University of Sports) and Cristian Bordacahar (FBC Melgar).

Hernán Barcos arrived at Alianza Lima in the 2021 season and, thanks to his good performances, he became the current emblem of the Victorian team.

The former Argentine national team was a key player in obtaining the two-time national championship in 2021 and 2022.

A few weeks ago, Barcos told the sports press that his dream was to achieve the three-time championship with Alianza Lima and retire from football wearing that shirt. He did not specify until when he would continue playing professionally.
