University presented a t-shirt in tribute to the club’s first two-time championship

Universitario de Deportes has a long history of success in Peruvian soccer and this year they decided to commemorate an indelible event at the institution. 75 years ago, the club celebrated its first two-time championship (1945 and 1946) and for this reason they decided to launch a special shirt, as a tribute to such an important event.

For a few days it had already been anticipated that the new clothing would be revealed this week and finally the fans could enjoy it. “A historical skin! We present the new University T-shirt inspired by our first two-time championship, a milestone in cream history “, they indicated in their social networks.

This time, unlike the previous designs, the cream color is lighter, an aspect that gives it a lot of elegance. In addition, the Marathon firm, in charge of dressing Universitario, decided that its brand should also be shown with a color only with a stronger tone, to maintain uniformity.

On the other hand, the ‘U’ shield remains in its usual position and size, but this time it will be accompanied by two stars, going hand in hand with the tribute that is carried out. The fans of the club showed acceptance towards this new edition and confirmed that they will acquire it shortly.

According to the University, the sports garment can already be obtained through the Marathon portal. The cost of the men’s adult t-shirt is S /. 199.90, for women has a price of S /. 169.90 and in the case of children, the value is S /. 149.90. It is worth mentioning that it can also be purchased in physical stores from October 20.

When will the new University shirt be released?

The new shirt will debut at the University vs. Binational on Monday, October 18, in a match valid for the 15th date of Phase 2 of Professional League 1. The team led by Gregorio Pérez needs a new victory to remain firm in the task of securing a ticket to the Copa Libertadores 2022.
