Fired for racist remarks, Ludovic Radosavljevic bounces back in rugby union

A second chance for Ludovic Radosavljevic. SO Avignon, Elite 1 rugby union club announced on Tuesday the arrival of Ludovic Radosavljevic, relates our colleagues from The Team. The scrum-half has spent his entire career at XV, but he was recently dismissed by Provence Rugby, a pro D2 club, after being suspended for 26 weeks by the disciplinary committee of the National Rugby League (LNR) for Racist remarks made against Christian Ambadiang, player of Nevers, at the beginning of September.

“The whole club wants to give Ludovic a second chance. We do not endorse or share his words, which are in no way based on his values. This sentence is a mistake, and not a conviction, for which he admitted his wrongs immediately and issued a public apology, ”explains the club. Which recalls that this is the first time that a professional Top 14 player in this position has joined the Elite 1 championship.
