Pedro Troglio, former coach of the University of Sports, would be the new technical director of San Lorenzo de Almagro to replace Paolo Montero thanks to his good performance at the helm of Olimpia of Honduras, according to information from TyC Sports of Argentina.

As reported by the aforementioned media, the Argentine strategist would have been chosen over Leandro Romagnoli, who was the other candidate and even had contact with Matías Lammens and Marcelo Tinelli.

TyC Sports said that Troglio would sign a bond for one season and will have the tough goal of lifting a team that has financial problems. It should be remembered that the last time the ‘Cyclone’ lifted a trophy was in the 2014 Copa Libertadores.

The ex-footballer will return as a coach to Argentina after directing Gimnasia and Esgrima La Plata. The fans of that club consider him an idol and in addition, in 2018 he was a finalist in the Argentine Cup under the command of the ‘Lobos’.
