They did not forgive his words. Thomas Tuchel made the important decision to leave Romelu Lukaku out of the squad for the Chelsea vs. Liverpool for the Premier League. The ‘Blues’ coach takes him out of the duel after the Belgian forward declared that he is not happy in the English team and hopes to return to his last team, Inter Milan.

According to the media outlet The Athletic, the Chelsea manager decided not to consider Lukaku for the game against Liverpool after the controversial interview that the attacker ‘blue’ had for Sky Italia.

Lukaku’s goals have been decisive in recent games, however, they are not enough for the German coach to ignore his statements. In fact, he criticized his forward at a press conference, which he urged to “Work more and give fewer interviews.”

“I am not happy with the situation, that is normal. I think the coach (Thomas Tuchel) chose to play with another drawing, the only thing I can do is not give up and continue being a professional. I’m not happy with the situation, but I’m a worker and I’m not going to throw in the towel ”, the player had said.

Tuchel after Lukaku’s words

“We don’t like it, of course. It brings a noise that we do not need and does not help “Tuchel told reporters ahead of Chelsea’s game against Liverpool on Sunday. “We do not want to give it more importance than it really has”, added the German coach.

“It is easy to take sentences out of context, shorten lines, make news and then realize that it is not so bad”, added. “We can take the time to try to understand what is happening because it does not reflect the daily work, attitude and behavior that Romelu displays here at Cobham.”
