Pochettino says that the situation with Mbappé’s contract with PSG “is not a problem”

Kylian Mbappé has the freedom to negotiate with any club on the planet from Saturday, January 1. The forward, who ends his contract with PSG on June 30, has been linked to Real Madrid, although there is nothing official at the moment. In this sense and before a possible PSG departure, coach Mauricio Pochettino wanted to put cold cloths.

“I think it is not a problem”, the Argentine strategist began in reference to the attacker’s contractual situation. “As we all hope, we want Kylian to continue at the club for many years”added the coach about what he wants for the future of the world champion with the French team in 2018.

Paris Saint Germain, through the board of directors (the president and the sports director), approached ‘Kiki’ on more than one occasion to reach an agreement for the renewal. However, the player rejected the proposals, as he has in mind to change the horizon. Although nothing is said until the end of the current campaign.

And that is clear to Pochettino, who finished with the following sentence: “But it depends on two parts”, indicated in relation to the direct communication between the entourage of ‘Les Parisiens’ with the one born in Bondy.

Anyway, the coach of the Parisians wants the best version of Mbappé in the next six months. “Let’s hope that their performance remains the same and that the solution is positive for everyone”concluded the 49-year-old coach.

The Parisian team returned to training this weekend and this Monday they will return to competition, in the round of 32 of the French Cup, against Vannes, from the fourth division.

Pochettino assured that this match is now their priority and that for the moment they are not thinking about February, when the knockout stages of the Champions League take place, where the club will face Real Madrid.

Messi, positive for the coronavirus

The return to training this weekend was marked by the absence of Leo Messi, Juan Bernat, Sergio Rico and Nathan Bitumazala, who have tested positive for coronavirus and will not be able to return to France for now.

“Messi is in constant contact with our medical services and when negative he will travel to France. We don’t know more than that right now. I don’t know if he will play against Lyon “Pochettino pointed out about Lionel’s positive.
