According to the newspaper La Tercera, the Inter midfielder decided to write a letter by hand in search of a minor suspension, since for now he could only play one of the last four challenges of La Roja in the process towards Qatar 2022.

According to the information, Vidal insists that he did not want to hit Félix Torres in the face when he played an aerial ball, as he did at the end of last November in San Carlos de Apoquindo, on the last round of Qualifying. He would also reaffirm his regret, something he also made clear immediately after his expulsion.

Vidal’s appeal is on the sidelines of the appeal that the ANFP will make to try to reduce the sanction, arguing that it is excessive, since the midfielder does not present a similar background with the Chilean team.
