Alberto Quintero and Abdiel Ayarza lead Panama’s list for friendly with Peru

The Panama team is getting ready for its trip to Lima, to play the friendly preparation against Peru, prior to the restart of the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers. This Thursday, coach Thomas Christiansen revealed the final list of those called up, considering Alberto Quintero and Abdiel Ayarza, who shine in League 1.

Last Tuesday, the ‘Canalero’ team had started their work at the Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez Stadium, under the watchful eye of the technical command. Finally, a couple of days later, Fepafut (Panamanian Football Federation) made official the final roster for the commitment against the Peruvian team.

Within the squad of 22 players, the presence of Alberto Quintero (University) and Abdiel Ayarza (Cusco FC) stand out, who have shone in League 1. In addition, José Fajardo and Abdiel Arroyo appear, who joined Cusco FC and César Vallejo respectively, with a view to the 2022 season.

When do Peru vs. Panama?

The Peru vs. Panama will be friendly and is scheduled for next Sunday, January 16, from 4:00 pm (Peruvian time), at the National Stadium in Lima. The ‘Blanquirroja’, directed by Ricardo Gareca, seeks to take up football rhythm, after a long time for the players, due to the breaks in their leagues.
