Bayern Munich’s academy is one of the most demanding in the world and coaches often look for young talents to incorporate into their squads. This is precisely the path that Matteo Pérez Winlöf (16 years old), of Peruvian father, will follow, who successfully passed the tests entrusted to him and will soon join the powerful German club.

As revealed by the Sportbladet portal, the promising footballer met the demands of the ‘Bavarian’ institution during the training weeks that he spent in 2021 and, due to his good performance, he will be officially hired. Until now, the athlete remained playing in Sweden, his mother’s country, being part of the ranks of Hammarby IF.

According to the same media, Matteo Pérez Winlöf will sign a three-year contract and will join the Bayern Munich Under-19 squad, where he will be polishing the talent he has already shown.

It should be noted that the young player has played on the left wing of Hammarby, fulfilling functions in attack and offense. Due to his good physical condition, Pérez has played some games as a winger and on other occasions he appeared more advanced, as a midfielder or winger.

Pérez Winlöf has already played for Sweden

The outstanding talent of Matteo Pérez Winlöf not only caught the attention of Bayern Munich, but also wowed the Swedish national team. During 2021, the footballer was called up by the U16 and U17 teams, accumulating a total of five games.

Precisely, he participated in the European Under-17 Championship (two games) and was important for the classification of the Swedish team to the second round. If there are no major inconveniences, Matteo will be summoned again by the European team for March, facing the games against Denmark, Switzerland and Latvia. However, due to his dual nationality, he will still be able to defend Peru in the future.
