For several seasons, James Rodríguez’s career has been on the decline. From Real Madrid, he was loaned to Bayern Munich where he had some good games, but it was never a consistent performance that made him stand out.
His return to Real Madrid, after the loan in the German team ended, was only to end his contract and go to Everton, where he also shone on a few occasions. His fight with coach Rafael Benítez ended with his departure and he is now a member of Al Rayyan in Qatar.
In all that time, James Rodríguez lost many millions of euros in market value. Of the 80 million that it was worth in 2018, 2021 happened to cost only 20. At the beginning of 2022, it now has a value of 15 million euros.
Despite the drop in his valuation, James remains 11th among the most expensive Colombian players. The first place goes to Luis Díaz, who plays for Porto and could go to a big Europe at the end of the season.
Already being a starter in Qatari football, James Rodríguez seeks to make up for lost time and be the important player that he used to be in his national team. Reinaldo Rueda summoned him again and he already had minutes on the last date of November.
