Reimond Manco signed for Santos de Nasca and will play for the first time in League 2. The 31-year-old national midfielder mentioned that he did not have in mind to play in the second division this season, however, he is focused on achieving promotion.

“It wasn’t my idea to play Liga2 this year, but that’s the way things are. I am a man of challenges and I am motivated to start the season. I am mature, calm and in another stage of my career.” he pointed out during his presentation for the GOLPERÚ cameras.

In the same way, the popular ‘Rei’ recognized that some clubs were interested in him, but he did not accept the conditions. “They denigrate the Peruvian player a lot. They want to take advantage of the situation and pay what they want”, he pointed.

The attacking midfielder arrives from Alianza Universidad de Huánuco where last season he played 14 games. However, the team led by Julio César Uribe ended up relegating and, in the second division, the popular ‘Rei’ will have the opportunity to face his former team.

Reimond Manco: clubs

The national soccer player debuted in Alianza Lima in 2007 after being part of the remembered cast of the “Jotitas” that played the U-17 World Cup in Korea that year. After his great performances in that championship and with the blue and white team, Manco was signed by PSV of the Netherlands, who had previously opted for Jefferson Farfán.

However, Reimond Manco did not have the continuity he wanted and was loaned out to Willem II of the same league. However, seeing that he was not taken into account either, he decided to return to Peru where he played for Juan Aurich (2010).

Then he went through Atlante (Mexico), León de Huánuco, Al Wakrah (Qatar), UTC, Zamora (Venezuela), Unión Comercio, Real Garcilaso, Sport Boys, Binacional and Atlético Grau.
