Shortly after the matches against Colombia and Ecuador for the South American Qualifiers heading to Qatar 2022, Renato Tapia has been recovering. The Peruvian international is improving from the sprain of the internal lateral ligament of his left knee that he presents, but he remains a doubt at Celta de Vigo for next Wednesday’s match against Atlético Osasuna for LaLiga Santander.

RC Celta reported on the injury of the midfielder of the Peruvian National Team days ago, they also indicated that he could soon begin to carry out group work, as it began this Friday.

After missing the last league match against Real Sociedad, the midfielder returned to training with the group at the Afouteza sports complex, although he did not do the entire session at the same pace as his teammates.

The first report on Renato’s condition was given a week ago, after the ‘celeste’ midfielder was injured during the match against Atlético Baleareas for the Copa del Rey.

Peru vs. Colombia: Ospina far from playing in Barranquilla

David Ospina, one of the leaders of the Colombian team that will face the Peruvian team for the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers on January 28, was injured in the Napoli match against Fiorentina for the Italian Cup.

Hours after his sudden change in the first half, the Italian club reported that the Colombian goalkeeper will be out of the fields for two weeks, due to a resentment in the left calf.

The scheduled date for his return is the day of the match against Peru in Barranquilla, so the goalkeeper would need a recovery in record time to be present in the duels of his team.
