The Classic City of Lima will be run this Sunday at the Monterrico Racecourse

The Clásico Ciudad de Lima (GR.II) will take place this Sunday, January 9, at the Monterrico Racecourse in homage to the 487th anniversary of the foundation of Lima starting at 4:30 in the afternoon. This important event will bring together the best horses in a 2000 meter race.

The competition will feature Last year’s Triple Crown winner Super Nao (Stud Firmamento Ju Ya), who will return to action after an excellent closing with a flourish in the 2021 season. He will face the multiple classic champion Nuremberg (Stud Unicorn) , as well as Esidio (Stud Doña Licha) and Danny’s Story.

Equestrian lovers can attend this show for free and the entrance will be through gate 4 of El Derby avenue. The Polousse area, the central part of the oval of the tracks, was enabled for spectators and, in addition, wells of thousands of soles will be at stake.
