The arrival of the Peruvian defender generated great expectations among the fans present at the airport, who did not hesitate to ask for some photos. In the same way, the footballer gave his first words to the press.
“I am very happy to be here, to join a big team like Cruz Azul. I’m really looking forward to getting started here. Before I will go to play with the Peruvian national team, but now I want to meet my teammates, to contribute my grain of sand”, expressed the former Sporting Cristal player before the media.
“I come to contribute, to learn and, together with my teammates, seek to meet the club’s objectives”, added the 25-year-old defender, who will arrive on loan from Granada in LaLiga Santander in Spain.
On the other hand, Luis Abram confessed that he spoke about the institution with Yoshimar Yotún, who until recently was part of the ‘Machine’. “‘Yoshi’ always gave me very good references about Cruz Azul and the truth is that I am very happy to join the team”, highlighted the athlete.
Finally, the defender praised Juan Reynoso, who from now on will be his strategist. “The important thing for the season is to arrive in the best shape. There are several changes, but with the coach that there is, things will go well”, he sentenced.
How many games did Luis Abram play in Granada?
In the 2021-22 season, Luis Abram played eight games for Granada (six as a starter) in LaLiga Santander; while he added two appearances in the Copa del Rey (one since the start). Given the lack of continuity, the defender took advantage of the option of reaching a club where he was going to have a greater number of appearances.
