Teachers and students decided to come to class wearing a skirt to show their support for a teenager who was kicked out of high school for wearing one to support feminists and transgender people in Spain , report it New York Post this Tuesday. The facts unfolded last November.
A math teacher decided to launch the movement “#ClothesHaveNoGender” (“Clothes have no gender” in French), the day after the young man’s dismissal. The latter also posted a video on the social network TikTok, where he explains what happened.
“Many teachers have looked away”
As for the professor, he also spoke about it on Twitter. “I suffered persecution and insults twenty years ago because of my sexual orientation in high school where I am now a teacher,” he explained to motivate his commitment. “Many teachers have looked away,” he also concluded.
20 years ago I suffered persecution and insults for my sexual orientation in high school where I am now a teacher, many teachers, they looked the other way. I want to join the cause of the student, Mikel, who has been expelled and sent to the psychologist for going to class with a skirt. #LaRopaNoTieneGenero pic.twitter.com/5PEN9vityY

The school has since responded, explaining that it would offer courses on gender equality.
