Windows 11 enables a section for the credit card number to speed up payments

microsoft works on a new tool integrated into Windows 11which focuses on a section to enter the bank card number to speed up the management of Microsoft 365 subscription payments.

The company has included this option in the new section of the configuration panel, as noted in the latest version for developers Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22567 for the public channel for developers Dev Channel.

The difference with respect to the previous updates of the operating system is that previously the credit card entry system was available from the account settings of microsoft in the web.

On the contrary, with this compilation it will be integrated into the Configuration panel, within the Account settings section, from where you can add or remove payment methods directly.

“We are introducing payment details within the payment card experience for subscriptions. This will allow users to view their payment information and receive notifications when it needs an update, allowing them to continue their subscriptions without any interruption.”indicates the company in the announcement of this version.

Thus, with this feature, users will not need to enter credit card number for renewal of subscription services or purchase of applications on Microsoft Store or on the Xbox console.

In addition to this fix, this developer release includes a new security feature called Smart App Control (SAC). This is a feature that blocks unsafe or potentially dangerous applications.

SAC can only be enabled on Windows devices that have installed the latest build of Insider Previewthat is, Build 22567. Although Microsoft has indicated that it will give more details about this tool in the future, it has explained how it works.

First, SAC is configured in evaluation mode, at which point the system evaluates the degree of interference in the tasks that the user is carrying out. Also, the company has pointed out that, while in this mode, the user can activate it in the Windows security application, in the application control section and in browsers.

Other novelties introduced in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22567 is an update to the ‘Open With’ dialog that appears when choosing a document, and voice typing improvements have been made. Also the possibility to link an Android phone to the computer within the Windows 11 device settings.
