Discord and Feedly: these are the platforms that stopped working due to the fall of Cloudflare

The interruption of Cloudflare services after a critical P0 incident has affected websites such as Feedly, Discord, canvas, Valorant either League Of Legends (LoL)which for some time have shown the error ‘Internal Server Error 500′ when trying to access their content.

Cloudflare is one of the leading providers of Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) as well as Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), serving popular websites for the general public.

Among them, Feedly, Omegle, Shopify, Canva or Discord, clients that depend directly on this server. In this way, when Cloudflare services are interrupted, these websites stop working and present the so-called ‘Internal Server Error 500’.

Several users have noticed this error in these pages since, when trying to access them, they have found the website completely blank and with the indicator of that error, the number 500, at the top.

For its part, the company has announced on its support website that a critical P0 incident has been detected that has led to the interruption of connectivity on the Cloudflare network in “multiple regions”.

“Customers trying to reach Cloudflare sites in the affected regions will observe 500 errors. The incident affects all the services of the data plan of our network”, can be read in this advance.

After declaring this error, around 06:34 UTC, the company has managed to identify the problem and has proceeded to implement a solution, at 06:57 UTC.

Minutes after this procedure, the company has indicated that it was monitoring the results and has reported the resolution of this incident at 08:06 UTC.

To confirm that the bug has been fixed, Cloudflare CTO John Graham-Cumming commented in a Hacker News forum thread that it was an unrecorded incident. “worldwide, but yes in many places” and that “it should already be operational everywhere.”

It is worth remembering that Cloudflare suffered another interruption of its service a few days ago in other parts of the world, such as Indonesia, India and Eastern Europe, as reported by TechCrunch, which noted that the failure was not caused by any attack.

This medium pointed out that the fall of the CDN provider, which affected platforms such as SaaS OSlash, was solved approximately two hours after it began to fail.
