Cuphead was announced in 2014 and officially released in September 2017 on Xbox One and PC. The video game received the best reviews and became one of the most important independent titles. The design of it has been heavily inspired by 1930s animated shorts and movieswhile its gameplay takes characteristics from the action games from the 80s and 90s.
The video game has received three The Games Awards, as well as three DICE Awards and a British Academy Games Award since its launch. In addition, it has a Netflix series based on it, called “The Cuphead Show!”. The DLC maintains the same graphic style as Cuphead and introduces novelties in gameplay and history.
