Pope Francis met this Friday with the technology tycoon, co-founder of Tesla and SpaceX and the richest person in the world, Elon Muskfor about 40 minutes at his residence in Santa Marta.
It was Musk who confirmed the meeting by posting a photo on Twitter in which he is seen together with Pope Francis and four of his seven children.

The meeting took place at Casa Santa Marta on Friday afternoon and it was not on Francisco’s official agendalike many of the private meetings that the pontiff has with different personalities in his residence.
According to Italian media, Tesla’s CEO wanted to show the pope his vision on how to best use technology to improve the world.

The pope and the South African nationalized American businessman agree on their concern for the environment and the low birth rate in developed countries.
