Netflix and the developer of video game Tender Claws have announced the launch of ‘Stranger Things VR’, a virtual reality adventure that will recreate the mystery series distributed by Netflix and will be released during the winter of 2023 for the main platforms of virtual reality.
According to Tender Claws, it is an action and psychological horror game and, although it is not confirmed, it is planned that ‘Stranger Things VR’ will be developed for PlayStation 5 PC, Meta Quest and PS VR2 devices.
In the game, the user will transform into the villain Vecna, a character introduced in the last season of the series, and the objective will be to take revenge on the protagonists. Thus, unknown realities can be explored by forming a hive mind and invoking nightmares.

Also, Stranger Things VR will allow you to play part of the story in some known locations of the series and, with the powers of Vecna, which include abilities such as invade minds, the enemies of the world starring Eleven and the people of Hawkins will have to be defeated.
STRANGER THINGS: THE VR EXPERIENCE
The American series already launched a video game for PlayStation VR in 2017, ‘Stranger Things: The VR Experience’. An adventure that was less ambitious than this new release, but that could be enjoyed for free.
This version was inspired by the second season of the adventures of the protagonists of Stranger Things and allowed to explore the Byers house, one of the most important locations in the plot of the story.
