Mobile Internet in Peru rises to 11.14 Mbps speed, the highest measurement in 2022

Speed ​​is an important factor for access to Internet, a necessity at this time either for work, to communicate, for social networks or to obtain any information. And today the speed in Peru is 11.14 Mbps.

With this figure recorded in October, Osiptel reported that the average download speed (download) for 4G mobile networks accessed by cell phones continues to rise.

This is equivalent to 0.24 Mbps more than in September. “This is the highest average speed recorded so far in 2022 and was due to the higher average monthly speed performance achieved compared to September by all operating companies,” the agency said.

Regarding the order, the operating company Claro leads, for the fifth consecutive month, the average speed for 4G networks with 12.23 Mbps, followed by Entel (12.11 Mbps), Movistar (9.81 Mbps) and Bitel (8, 48Mbps).

But Peru is still far from having the best mobile internet speed. According to a report by the newspaper La Tercera, the United Arab Emirates leads the list of mobile internet connections with 127.81 Mbps, followed by Norway and South Korea. In our region, Chile occupies the sixth position with 13.19 Mbps, above Peru. But Venezuela is the country in the worst situation with 5.64 Mbps.

Regions with the highest download speed

In October, the average download speed increased in 21 regions, but only eight obtained results above the national average: Ica (12.04 Mbps), Tumbes (11.78 Mbps), Lima (11.65 Mbps), Lambayeque (11.52 Mbps), Tacna (11.46 Mbps), Callao (11.45 Mbps), Arequipa (11.39 Mbps) and Moquegua (11.30 Mbps).

On the other hand, the regions of Puno (10.50 Mbps), Huánuco (10.41 Mbps), Ayacucho (10.33 Mbps), Pasco (10.03 Mbps) and Loreto (8.99 Mbps), obtained the performances lowest in the evaluated period.
