The World Cup Qatar 2022 It has added many criticisms, but this architectural proposal is one of the most forceful and striking. It is a skyscraper that seeks to honor all the dead left by the sporting event.
And it is that, according to The Guardian newspaper, based on sources from the host government of the sports tournament, it is estimated that more than 6,500 workers have died in the constructions that make the World Cup possible.

This lack of protection for workers adds to the criticism for the violation of human rights, machismo, religious extremism and other ethical dilemmas that Qatar receives.
It is for this reason that the project is clearly critical, reports the page El Español. It was proposed by the French studio WEEK Architecture and those behind the idea are the architects Sylvain Macaux and Axel de Stampa.
What does it consist of? Each of the victims is represented by a concrete module that is superimposed one by one. This is how an extension of 4 kilometers high would be reached. It consists of four gigantic modules for each floor, joined with two stairs in each module.
It is a proposal, a conceptual way of designing buildings under the trend of “spontaneous architecture”. But the proposal is serious. It has even been suggested that the monument be located on the outskirts of the Qatar desert, as a memory for the families of the deceased: among citizens of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka or Pakistan.
