The best apps of 2022, according to Apple

Manzana has announced the 16 Applications and games that have stood out in the awards app store Awards of 2022, among which are the social network BeRealthe notes app GoodNotes 5, and the Electronic Arts title Apex Legends Mobile.

The company has highlighted a total of 16 applications and games, available in its App Store for its different platforms, for “offer exceptional experiences and have a profound cultural impact”as the company has pointed out in a press release.

The best iPhone app of 2022 is BeRealthe social network that urges users to take a selfie at a certain time to emphasize spontaneity, while on iPad, Apple has chosen the notes application GoodNotes 5, from Time Base Technology Limited.

MacFamilyTree 10, from Synium Software GmbH, has won recognition as the best application for Mac, with its proposal to create a family tree. Vix, from TelevisaUnivision Interactive, has stood out on the AppleTV platform, while Gentler Streak Workout Tracker, from Gentler Stories, has done so on Apple Watch.

In video games, Apex Legends Mobile, from Electronic Arts, has emerged as the best title of the year for iPhone; XD Network’s Moncage for iPad; Inscription, by Devolver, for Mac; and El Hijo, by HandyGames, for AppleTV.

The best game on Apple Arcade, the company’s streaming gaming platform, is Wylde Flowersfrom Studio Drydock Pty, and in China, the winner was League of Legends Esports Manager, from Shenzhen Tencent Tianyou Technology.

Apple has also recognized a set of apps for their cultural impact. “This year’s winners encourage users to engage more deeply with their emotions, connect authentically with others, and pay tribute to their heritage and the generations that came before them as they imagine how to create a better world today.”the company has pointed out.

In this section, highlights include How We Feel, by the How We Feel Project, which helps put complex emotions into words and offers strategies to address them; Dot’s Home, from the Rise-Home Stories Project, a 2D narrative game that highlights systemic injustices towards communities of color; Locket Widget, from Locket Labs, which lets you send photos directly to a friend or family member’s home screen; Waterllama, by Vitalii Mogylevets, which helps to stay hydrated; e Inua – A story in ice and time, by ARTE Experience, about the history and folklore of the Inuit people.

To accompany the recognition, Apple will award each winner a physical prize inspired by the characteristic blue icon of the App Storemade of 100% recycled aluminum.
