Electric bicycle achieves 150 km of autonomy and recharges in 1 minute thanks to hydrogen

Autonomy is one of the most sought-after aspects in electric bikes. And the Alpha Neo e-bike can boast of having (most likely) the highest autonomy with a range of 150 kilometers.

And not only that. Pragma Industries’ electric bike can also be recharged in just one minute. How? This is thanks to another innovation: the use of hydrogen as an energy source.

It is one of the most promising sources of energy since it does not emit CO2, the main greenhouse gas. And the French company has had the audacity to bet on hydrogen, although it is still an expensive element and it is not widespread.

The bicycle is made to support the hydrogen inside a warehouse, which is supported by part of the structure. The 3L hydrogen tank supports 300 bar of pressure, according to the TestChoches page.

On the other hand, this bicycle has a rear electric motor of 250 W of nominal power and 350 W of peak power that provides electrical assistance when pedaling up to 25 km/h. The cost reaches 5,690 euros, that is, about 23 thousand soles.
