discord has announced the acquisition of Gas, a social application aimed at teen users that encourages them to send each other positive messages and compliments completely anonymously.

Gas is a service that seeks to promote the idea of ​​community and that it is based on a system of surveys. These are made up of questions that seeks to improve the self-esteem of users through these compliments.

They are the users themselves who ask the questions and the four possible answers through this service and they do it in a anonymous, so that prior to the question, the user’s gender and school year are indicated. For example ‘[esta pregunta la ha formulado] A 10th grade girl.’

Among some of the questions that can be shared through Gas are, for example, ‘who is the funniest person in the class?’, ‘who has the prettiest laugh’? or ‘who is the student you most admire?’.

Once users have chosen one of the four options offered by each of the questions, that person will receive a notification through the application to find out the result and which appears as the most voted.

For now, this app is only available for iPhone and iPad through the App Store for US users.

Discord has now announced the acquisition of Gas, whose goal “is to inspire and empower each other through positive affirmations” and that it also conforms to the founding values ​​of this messaging service.
