WhatsApp adds new tools for group administrators on iOS devices

WhatsApp has implemented, in its latest update for iOSnew shortcuts for group admins so they can easily perform tasks and quickly communicate with participants in private.

The instant messaging platform is adding new features for iOS in its latest 23.1.75 update, such as the ability to search for messages by the date they were sent or received within a specific conversation.

In this same update, WhatsApp has included new shortcuts for group administrators, as WaBetaInfo has pointed out. These functions have been implemented with the aim of facilitating the administration of group participants, as well as simplifying some interactions with them.

Among the new shortcuts, the Meta platform has highlighted with a link the phone numbers that appear in the chat notifications when a user joins or leaves the group. In this way, administrators can interact with them by clicking on the phone number directly. Before, only the written phone number appeared.

Also, if the administrator touches and holds a phone number, a menu is displayed that makes available different functions such as chatting directly in private with that phone number, calling or adding it to the contact book. Another function that appears is to copy the phone number.

These functions can be very useful for administrators considering that the maximum capacity of the groups on this platform is 1,024 participants. With them, they will no longer have to navigate through the group information tab to find the contact information they are looking for and will save time to private chat, save the contact or call.
