A new milestone for hydrogen-based technology. The company ZeroAvia managed to successfully carry out the flight of the electric plane largest in the world powered with this element that does not emit polluting gases.

In addition, the plane also boasts of having the largest electric motor ever made. On the other hand, a Honeywell TPE-331 engine was mounted on the right wing, which is the original engine.

In this way, reported the Hybrid and Electric page, the ZeroAvia company is advancing in its goal of having a 600 kW propulsion system for aircraft with 9 to 19 seats, a previous step for aircraft with a larger fuselage and up to 90 passengers.

What comes next? What will be sought is certification to offer commercial routes using this technology in the year 2025. On these flights, the aircraft would already have a range of 500 kilometers. Then, gradually the capacity will be increased so that in 2030 travel will be safer and faster.
