It was not your internet: Spotify presented a new fall worldwide

Spotify had a drop in its service worldwide. The music streaming platform confirmed that it was having problems, which were resolved two hours later. The reason for the app and web failures is unknown.

Something is not quite right and we are investigating it. Thanks for your reports!”, published the Spotify Status Twitter account, which reports live everything that happens with the platform. That is, if we want to know if there is a problem with the service, we only have to review their latest tweets.

Likewise, the DownDetector website had more than 43 thousand reports about problems with Spotify. Users began to notice that the platform was going wrong from 1:09 pm (Peruvian time).

55% of the reports indicated problems with the application, while 26% did so with the web service. In addition, 20% indicated that they had problems with audio playback, so they could access the app, but could not use it normally.

However, around 3:45 p.m. (Peruvian time), Spotify indicated that everything was working correctly. “Everything looks so much better now! Contact @SpotifyCares if you still need help”, he tweeted.

This was Spotify’s second drop in January of this year. The music streaming service had problems on the night of January 13 and a solution was not found until three hours later. Although the platform has not indicated the problem on both occasions, it is strange that it has crashes very often.
