WhatsApp has implemented Picture-in Picture (PiP) mode, also known as ‘picture in picture’, on iOS devices, a capability that was already present in previous betas of the app.
The PiP mode allows you to make a video call and still be present in it while browsing other applications on the mobile, so that the video conference remains visible and is displayed as a floating window in the interface.

This option has already been supported on Android devices since 2018 and, despite the fact that it is also present on iPhone since iOS 14, the platform developed by Meta did not support this format until now.
The latest WhatsApp update for iOS 23.3.77, already available in the Apple App Store, does include the PiP capability in the instant messaging application to be able to use the device while making a video call.

This version includes other new features such as the ability to attach a title to shipping documents or the possibility of including more extensive group descriptions, among others, as WABetaInfo has warned.
From this portal they remind that, if these functionalities are not available, users must update the platform through the brand’s application and services store.
