various channels of Youtubespecialized in technology, have been hacked to show images of Elon Musk or impersonate the official Tesla channel.
In accordance with In Spanish, hackers would take advantage of the credibility of these channels so as not to raise suspicions among users that it is a cyber attack. In some cases, cybercriminals even changed the channel’s name and logo to impersonate Tesla.
Also, they changed the titles of some videos to other eye-catching ones where cryptocurrencies are promised. Thus, implying that Elon Musk himself would be giving away part of his fortune to users.
Among the reports, the most important hacked channel is that of Linus Tech Tips, which underwent a change in its video schedule to show those where the Twitter mogul appeared.
In these cases, they recommend not accessing the links found in the video description or paying attention to what is said or written.
For the moment, the affected channels have apparently been closed and as El Español points out, YouTube is working so that the creators can recover their accounts.
