Apple’s annual week-long developer conference, WWDC 2023, begins June 5, 2023.

Every year, the iPhone maker hosts a much-anticipated launch event, led by CEO Tim Cook, to showcase new products and software that will launch in the coming months.

This year, everyone is hoping for the appearance of the company’s elongated wearable mixed reality device.

Apple’s first augmented reality headset aims to allow users to see virtual elements superimposed on the real world.

The conference itself is primarily aimed at software developers, who will gain unique access to Apple engineers and insight into the latest iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS developments.

“WWDC23 will be our biggest and most exciting yet and we can’t wait to see many of you online and in person at this very special event!”

The event is online for all registered developers, with a special in-person event on June 5 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.

Apple’s highly anticipated mixed reality headset was not shown at last year’s conference.

While the company made some big announcements like a redesigned MacBook Air and a refreshed MacBook Pro, enthusiasts missed all hints of the rumored headset.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted the headset would be unveiled at an event in 2023, with pre-orders starting in the second quarter of the year.

Experts also expect a new Mac Pro with M2 Ultra chip or a new iMac this year.
