WhatsApp: edit and add text to your forwarded files in the beta version of the app

WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature in the latest Android beta that allows users to modify or add text to images, videos, and GIFs when they’re forwarded from one contact to another, preventing them from being shared with the same description they were received with .

Currently, the messaging platform allows you to forward a file to another contact using a shortcut located at the top of the interface, where an arrow is presented.

Once this button is pressed, a screen opens indicating ‘Forward to…’ with the options to do so in the States -which have a duration of 24 hours-, the contacts to which images and videos are sent most frequently or the most recent chats that have been registered on the platform.
