Elon Musk threatens to sue Microsoft for training his AI on Twitter data

Elon Musk has threatened to sue Microsoft for illegally using the data of Twitter to train your model artificial intelligence. This statement comes in response to Microsoft’s advertising platform saying it would no longer support the social network.

As The verge points out, the mogul’s accusation “is vague,” but OpenAI could be taking Twitter data to train its powerful ChatGPT model. Although Microsoft is not the artificial intelligence company, what is certain is that it has invested heavily in it, and has even included it in its tools such as Bing.

On the other hand, Twitter will no longer be compatible with Microsoft’s advertising platform as of April 25, 2023. This means that companies will not be able to manage their tweets from the platform. Also, this news comes after the social network put its API under paid access.

At the moment, it is not known for sure if Musk will actually take legal action against Microsoft.

For its part, The verge tried to communicate with both parties involved but received no response from the technology company, while from the Twitter press email they replied “with the poop emoji”.
