Samsung has announced within the framework of CES 2022 the new ‘smartphone’ Samsung Galaxy S21 Fan Edition (FE) 5G, which joins its flagship Galaxy S21 series and features a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a touch response speed of 240 Hz in gaming mode and refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As the company has indicated, this ‘smartphone’ shares some of the ‘premium’ features of the previous model, Galaxy S21, among which a 5-nanometer and 64-bit eight-core processor stands out, used in the latest generation folding terminals of the brand (Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G).
It is equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery and has a fast charging capacity of 25W, so that more than 50 percent of the battery can be charged in 30 minutes. It also includes 15W wireless charging.
It features triple rear camera with 12 megapixel ultra wide angle, 12 megapixel wide angle and 8 megapixel telephoto lens. The punch-hole selfie camera is 32 megapixels and has a Facial Restoration function with artificial intelligence (AI).
The phone integrates the One UI 4 customization layer based on Android 12, which includes customization and redesign options for both the home screens and the icons, notifications or wallpapers.
It is designed in accordance with the IPX8 rating, so it is waterproof up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. In addition, it has several sensors, such as fingerprint, accelerometer, geomagnetic or proximity.
This ‘smartphone’ comes in three configurations: 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage, 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G will be available in four colors (lavender, olive green, white and graphite) from January 11 in the online store of Samsung and other authorized operators. Its price ranges between 759 euros (with the basic configuration) and 829 euros (the most advanced), as stated on its website.
