Slackening on barrier gestures
“In various municipalities and particularly in Strasbourg, groups of people consuming alcoholic beverages have been observed in recent days on the quays, in squares, in parks and around establishments offering take-away sales. Barrier gestures, including the wearing of a mask but also the rules of physical distancing remain the only effective means of limiting the circulation of the virus and the risks of contamination ”, underlines the prefect.

Ban from March 31 to April 29
Also recalling that groups of more than six people on public roads are prohibited, it is indicated that after “consultation with the mayors concerned, the Prefect of Bas-Rhin has decided to prohibit the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the public highway, in perimeters defined for each municipality, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. in the 13 municipalities of the department with more than 10,000 inhabitants. These measures are applicable from March 31 until April 29.
In Strasbourg, the following are excluded from the perimeter of the ban: the Rohrschollen nature reserve, the Robertsau forest, the Neuhof forest, the entire area of the Rhine port and the petroleum port, excluding the two-bank garden area.
In the rest of the department, the towns of Bischheim, Bischwiller, Erstein, Haguenau, Hoenheim, Illkirch Graffenstaden, Lingolsheim, Obernai, Ostwald, Saverne, Schiltigheim, Sélestat are also affected by this ban. In these municipalities, the ban applies within a radius of 50 meters around educational establishments (middle and high schools), private and public, establishments open to the public such as restaurants and drinking establishments, around sports establishments covered and open, theaters, performance halls or multi-use, multipurpose rooms. But also in the playgrounds and within a radius of 50 meters around the playgrounds, in the parks, gardens and urban green spaces of the municipality.
