Rayan’s drama caused an international uproar.

Thursday, videos released by social networks show the Afghan minor named Haidar dressed in a blue sweater trapped at the bottom of the wellwith his back against the wall, visibly moving his arms and upper body.

The images were obtained by a camera lowered on a rope to the scene.

In one of the videos the child is heard crying and moaning, and in another he is heard talking to his father.

“Haidar, talk to me, we are trying to get you out. Are you okay, my son? Talk to me and don’t cry, we are working to get you out.”says the father.

“Okay, I’m going to keep talking.” the minor answers.

Rescuers used bulldozers to dig large trenches in the earth and try to access the well.

Emergency teams “are working to ensure that the child is not harmed by the collapse of the well,” Ahmadullah Wasiq, a spokesman for the ruling Taliban, said on Twitter.

“The Ministry of Defense is ready to send material by helicopter if necessary,” he added.
