Putin agrees with Macron to respect civilians in Ukraine

The Russian President, Vladimir Putingot engaged this Monday with the French, Emmanuel Macronto suspend attacks against the population of Ukrainehousing and civil infrastructure.

In a conversation that lasted an hour and a half, Macron insisted on Putin on “the need to impose an immediate ceasefire” at a time when discussions begin in Belarus between delegations from Russia and Ukraine.

In addition, the French president asked the Russian leader to respect international humanitarian law and protect the arrival of humanitarian aid, according to the text of the resolution that France presented today at the UN Security Council.

Macron spoke several times in the course of this conference with Zelenskyand called Putin at the request of the latter, whom he also informed about the content of his communication with the Kremlin, the Elysee explained.
