These anti-aircraft batteries, normally stationed in Germany, were repositioned “at the request” of the Polish government, said this official who requested anonymity, amid fears that a Russian missile could, deliberately or not, cross the border of Poland, a member of NATO, after the Russian military offensive in Ukraine.

“The two Patriot batteries are now repositioned in Poland”, he said at a press conference. “We will not say where they are. But they are in Poland and in service.”
