The normal operation of the Neuquén airport was then interrupted: of three flights that tried to land in the capital, only two were able to. Although the third tried to do so and touched the runway with one of its wheels, it had to rise again in an unexpected maneuver.

“We left Buenos Aires at 2:00 p.m. for the JetSmart company. Until the middle of the trip everything was going well until the turbulence started. The aircraft moved quite a bit. When we were about to land, they say to put on the seatbelt. I look out the window and there was nothing to be seen, only land came”, described the passenger to the Neuquén medium.

And he continued: “I heard the noise of the wheels opening and I still couldn’t see the floor. That’s where we started to get closer. Hit a sharp maneuver and take flight again. 15 minutes passed and people were tense and nervous. There were big people very scared. Five minutes after not knowing what was going to happen, they told us that they couldn’t land in Neuquén and that we were going to Mendoza.”.

The crew and the commander on board indicated that the aircraft should go to Mendoza to load gasoline and from there they could also find out when they would try to land again in Neuquén. “We were an hour waiting for them to tell us where we were going. What’s more, a man decompensated and was taken off the plane and never got on. There was a lot of tension and we were all very nervous.”, said the woman.

Around 6 p.m., the flight from JetSmart He left for the city of Neuquén. “It was another hour, full of fear and turbulence. We all tried to be calm, but there was a certain tension. We were all expectant, while the plane kept moving because the turbulence did not stop, ”he described.

According to Oses, on this second opportunity the plane’s runway could be seen, unlike the first time. “On the first landing attempt, I didn’t see anything. It was like we got into a cloud of dust and hit the ground without seeing anything,” he said.

The passenger reported that the atmosphere inside the plane was very tense. “No one was calm,” she assured. Finally, after landing safely, she concluded: “I don’t wish what we experienced on anyone.”
