The Colombian made a stopover in Brazil accompanied by his wife, 44 years old and whom he married on April 23 last, and with a 2-year-old son of the couple, who were released because the Police found no evidence of the woman’s participation in the crime.

According to the Federal Police, upon learning of the drug hidden in the suitcase, The woman reacted angrily and tried to attack her husband, for which she had to be restrained by federal agents.

This was the ninth drug seizure made by Federal Police agents so far this year at Recife’s international airport.

Last year, seven women and four men were arrested in different operations at the airport, in which 35 kilos of cocaine were seized.
