Attack on poultry farm in Mexico leaves six dead

Six people died and two others were injured this Saturday by the shooting attack perpetrated by a commando on workers of a chicken farm in the troubled state of Guerrero, southeast of Mexicoreported the regional prosecutor’s office.

Local information media reported that the woman is a 14-year-old girl and that the perpetrators were carrying long weapons.

The commando went to the warehouse and without saying a word opened fire on the employees of the farm production and sale of chickens, located next to the federal highway Mexico-Acapulco, from the town of Petaquillas, near a military checkpoint.

Police and National Guard corporations cordoned off the area.

Guerrero, with Pacific coasts, is one of the most violent areas of Mexicodue to confrontations between drug traffickers and between them and security forces.
