Adriana Pinzón: blood trail and a video sent the missing psychologist’s brother-in-law to prison

A video in which a man with black bags is seen leaving the apartment of Adriana Pinzon Between 6 and 7:20 pm, which she then keeps in the trunk of a car, traces of blood found in a raid and the testimony of a key witness in the case begin to unravel what would have happened to the psychologist, who disappeared on June 7. under strange circumstances in Chía, Cundinamarca, Colombia.

In addition, the alleged appearance of the body of a woman in the village of San Jorge in that municipality also set off alarms, so much so that they said that the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Prosecutor’s Office was moving forward with the removal of the remains.

For now it is known that, during the hearing, which was held behind closed doors by order of the judge, the prosecutor in the case referred to the possible participation of Jonathan Torres Castellanos – a veterinarian by profession and the woman’s brother-in-law – in her disappearance. He said this was untrue when he gave a different account when asked what he knew about the case. They pointed out that in one of the versions he said that he had talked with the psychologist about an issue related to infidelity. But before he had mentioned something related to the sale of a car.

The most accurate so far is that the security videos analyzed were key to beginning to relate Torres to the event. “In the victim’s apartment, some stains are visualized that, eventually, may correspond to human blood. What this indicates, may be, is that there was an episode in which the life of Mrs. Adriana Pinzón was compromised and that the person who was in her apartment on the day of the disappearance was Mr. Torres”, was heard in the audience.

Forensic experts entered the victim’s apartment and found disturbing traces that would show a possible criminal scene.

It is also known that there is a key witness who would have given clues as to what happened at the young woman’s residence in the municipality of Zipaquira, Cundinamarca. “Physical evidence was collected, including documents from Mrs. Adriana Pinzón Castellanos in the place indicated by the witness, who relates her version to the disappearance and possible death of the professional. This also provides images such as: sharp weapons with a lot of blood. He assured that she received a black briefcase from Jonathan Torres.

Adriana Pinzón has been missing since June 7 in Colombia.

All this information keeps the relatives of the disappeared woman in suspense, since they do not understand why there is talk of the involvement of some relatives as suspects in the case. “The last contact she had was with Jonathan. He told us that on Tuesday, June 7, around 6:30 in the afternoon, in the Tres Esquinas sector in Chía, he met my sister Adriana, that she gave him the vehicle so that he could take it to a sale and that My sister told him that she was going back to Zipaquirá to her house using a vehicle requested by a platform. That is the only thing we know, “said Sandra Pinzón, Adriana’s sister and who has repeatedly shown dismay at the events. She added: “We want to hear from the Prosecutor’s Office to find out what material they have that relates to Jonathan. We do not want to make value judgments at this time because with everything that is happening we still do not fully understand the situation”.

The family had been publishing information on social networks, they have visited hospitals, they have collaborated with the authorities, they have visited all the places where they have been told they saw her, but, until now, they have no information about the woman’s whereabouts. The last thing was the capture of the relative, but they do not explain the reasons. “My sister is a very kind, intelligent, very responsible, supportive person, she has a big heart. If they have seen her, if they see her, please, any information from her is useful to us”.

Friends and family say that the missing woman had no problem with anyone, no threats. “She is very responsible and correct in her work. This has us baffled. In the recordings of the security cameras that we have reviewed, we have not found anything.” The Urgent Search Mechanism (MBU) is still active. The investigative work continues under the guidance of a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate against Human Rights Violations.

At the end of yesterday’s hearing, Jonathan Torres Castellanos did not accept the charges of forced disappearance and aggravated homicide due to the defenselessness of the victim charged by the Prosecutor’s Office.

From now on, in the next trials, the defense of the parties will have to enter to demonstrate with evidentiary material what really happened with the psychologist. “Jonathan is my brother-in-law, he is the husband of my sister Pilar, they have been in a relationship for approximately 6 years. His capture has taken us by surprise, my sister Pilar is very affected, “said Sandra.

At the close of the hearing, the guarantee control judge determined that Torres should be confined in jail while awaiting a decision regarding his judicial status.
