As the invasion continues Ukraine that Vladimir Putin ordered, Vasili Golubev, governor in the Russian region of Roston -on the border with Ukrainian territory- denounced a “terrorist attack” perpetrated by a “kamikaze” or “suicide” drone that caused severe damage to the second oil refinery largest in Russia located in Novoshakhtinsk.
While Golubev blamed Ukrainian troops for the attack, the authorities of that country did not manifest themselves in this regard. According to the Russian agency TASS, the artifact that hit the refinery it was a small “cheap looking” craft that was customized to “explode instantly”.

Hours after the information was released, Videos of the drone circulated on social networks at the exact moment in which it caused the explosion of a heat exchanger. This caused a huge fire that required dozens of fire crews to put it out.

The refinery even had to stop production in order to assess the damage. The industrial facility has a capacity annual up to 7.5 million tons and started operating in 2009. This attack follows a series of explosions and fires in western Russia.
