A pilot of United Airlines decided to surprise a 6-year-old girl after the little girl lost a tooth mid-flight.
“I was sleeping on the plane. My mom woke me up… and we were going to go get our bags. And I said: ‘Mommy, mommy, I think I lost a tooth‘”, remembered Firewood, 6 years old. in conversation with Good Morning America.

Lena said she didn’t expect to lose a tooth while on board a plane. According to her mother, lauren larmonshe and her daughter tried to return to the ship to retrieve it, but it was impossible.
“We tried to walk back to the plane, but security was closed. It was 2 a.m.,” Lena said, adding that she was “very emotional” and “in tears” when she realized what had likely happened.
“We will never find my tooth again!” he added. That’s when “Captain Josh,” as Lena called him, arrived to save the day.

Lauren later shared the gesture on her social media: “In a world full of bad airline stories, @united pulled through when Lena fell asleep on her flight home and woke up missing a tooth. Very worried that the tooth fairy would not show up, the pilot saw Lena trying to get past security to retrieve her tooth and helped her. Thanks Captain Josh! I am sure the Tooth Fairy will accept this,” she wrote.
