WHO experts meet to assess whether COVID-19 still constitutes an international emergency

The Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the pandemic COVID-19 held a new quarterly meeting today to assess the world situation and analyze whether the coronavirus continues to constitute an international emergency, at a time of relatively low infections and deaths.

The international health emergency was declared on January 30, 2020, when cases had already been registered in all regions of the planet, and since then the committee has met quarterly to monitor the global situation.
