Indian mother worries about daughter’s fate, gone to join ISIS in Afghanistan

Nimisha-Fathima joined Daesh in 2016 in Afghanistan with her husband. The young Indian had a baby there, before being arrested by local law enforcement and put in a Kabul prison. Her mother, Bindu Sampath, is concerned that the gradual withdrawal of US forces from the country could jeopardize the safety of her daughter and child.

India, like many other countries, did not wish to repatriate all of its nationals who joined Daesh. And Bindu Sampath desperately wants his daughter to come home and be tried for her crimes. Listen to his call for help in this video from our partner Brut.
