LIVE | Alert in Venezuela for Tropical Wave 47; heavy rain and flooding expected

The Minister of the Interior and Justice of Venezuela, Remigio Ceballos, warned that precautions must be taken before the arrival of tropical wave 47 on Tuesday. He said that its passage through the country could bring adverse weather conditions. The official explained that the heavy rains and floods on Monday were caused by tropical wave 46. However, he indicated that both Venezuela and other weather forecasting systems are paying more attention to tropical wave 47.

On Monday, the heavy rains that occurred in Venezuela caused the collapse of at least 12 houses, and left another 60 houses at risk of collapse, in the sector January 23 in Caracaswhere 162 families were affected and at least 14 were evacuated, according to Minister Remigio Ceballos.

According to the Minister of the Interior, the passage through the nation of tropical wave 46 has generated heavy rains with electric shocks and gusts of wind in Caracas and the states of Carabobo, Aragua, Miranda, La Guaira, Guárico, Anzoátegui, Sucre, Monagas and Delta. Amacuro.
