Outrage in Venezuela: they arrest a man who sexually abused his 6 granddaughters

Officials of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc) of Venezuela They arrested a man identified as Arnaldo José Medrano Páez for allegedly abusing his six minor granddaughters. The incident occurred on Brisas del Zulia street in the El Nazareno neighborhood, in Petare, Miranda state.

The investigation by the authorities revealed that the subject had been intimidating his 16 and 6-year-old granddaughters since 2020 to have sex with him.

According to information published by the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, Medrano Paez He also abused other granddaughters and nieces who were 11, 14, 6 and 8 years old.

Because of the abuse one of the first victims would have been infected with a sexually transmitted disease, according to the Cicpc.

Medrano Páez was placed under the order of the Prosecutor’s Office 100 of the Public Ministry of the Caracas Metropolitan Area.

The situation caused a stir on social networks, where hundreds of people have expressed rejection of cases of child abuse.

On Monday, October 24, it was also announced that the body of a 5-year-old girl was found in a septic tank in the Tronconero sector of the Guacara municipality, in Carabobo state.

The victim, identified as Franyelis Raquel Véliz Rodríguez, had multiple stab wounds and alleged signs of sexual abuse.
