Russia announced this Wednesday that it is resuming its participation in the agreement on Ukrainian cereal exports through the Black Sea, after having received “written guarantees” of Ukraine on the demilitarization of the corridor used for grain transportation.
“Russia considers that the guarantees it received so far seem sufficient and resumes the application of the agreement”assured the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram.

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoganalso announced the resumption of the transport of Ukrainian cereals this Wednesday through the Black Sea after a telephone call between the Turkish and Russian defense ministers.
Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, called his Turkish counterpart, Hulusi Akar, to inform you that “Grain shipments will continue as of 12:00 p.m. today, as planned,” Erdogan said in the Turkish Parliament.
Turkey, which together with the UN was the mediator of the agreement, has multiplied its diplomatic efforts to save the pact signed on July 19 by both sides.

Since the pact was established, about 10 million tons of Ukrainian grains have been exported through the Black Sea.
The agreement, which was to be renewed on November 19, made it possible to alleviate the global food crisis unleashed after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia at the end of February.
But Moscow announced over the weekend that it was indefinitely suspending its participation after accusing Ukraine of a “massive” attack on his Black Sea fleet moored in Crimea.
